F for Fugitive

F for Fugitive

All were there , but he was missing his father.

The Priest reads out the mantras and the two encircle the holy fire and get tied in the holy knot.

Shambhu's hand moves up to bestow his blessings on the duo, hiding behind the bamboo trees covering his face. Let them never know that he served in jail, they would never understand, he thought.

After all, they say - he was a fugitive, tears tickled from his eyes.

E for Ex.....

E for Ex

Raj was enjoying the dance with Julie, shaking his hips in sync with the dazzling dusky damsel, head resting on head, and shoulders clasping each other.

The alcohol was slowly taking control over his senses and he was feeling elated and at the top of the world with his new found - girlfriend .

"To hell with the breakup, there would be thousands like Kelly, his ex", the feel crossed his subconscious mind.

"Anand, that is Raj , my ex, dancing with that girl" - a faint voice struck his from the corner  of the hall- he seems to have heard Kelly telling somebody.

He turned - a sweet pain in the heart, all seemed to stop....perhaps the memories can never be  ex... he thought and tears blurred his eyes.

C for Cross Roads

C for Cross roads - A Five Sentence Fiction

"The opening in US is a life time opportunity & I can't miss it "- I reaffirmed myself.

Ecstatically I rushed to Radha's house and narrated the whole day in a go.

"So when do you leave ?" She asked, her eyes wet , lips trying to smile, and

unsuccessfully trying to hide her father's medical report .

Without waiting for my answer she continued - "My presence will hold you

from moving towards your dream so forget me and move ahead”.

I stood there cramped - life had put me at crossroads!

Beauty - A five sentence Fiction

Dorothy, the dark plum lady struggled to change her father in-law’s clothes, suffering from dementia. It was tough, but she felt contended and preferred doing all this herself, though her husband had employed Nancy, the gorgeous damsel for all his nursing needs.
Tring Tring ! - Nancy opened the door and burbled “Your father is really tough to take care of bla blabla…”, adjusting her red dress.
His eyes struck on the beauty, her complains as if falling on his ears from far, when suddenly the charm got broken by the hoarse call from the corner of the room– “Pls help me hold him so that I change the wet pants”.

Beauty -  intrinsic is more important and real, he sighed and moved towards her.

A for Anger

A for Anger

#AtoZChallenge 2020 Blogging from A to Z Challenge letter A

He had banged the door and gone out thumping his foot on the ground and married Alisha.

"Alisha, after all she was not from the same religion, and my old traditionally rooted parents never understood us, the new generation", he thought.

"Why has now they called us again, they would only frown on us" he gulped.

The door opened - Radha - there she was standing, tears ready to run down from the corner of her eyes - Aarti thali in her hand.

"Mother never gets angry from her child" - she could only mumble.

Theme Rveal 2020 - Life just in 5 Sentences.

Life is a learning - A constant learning. So why not share the same . Sharing doubles the joy. Right!
So this year I'll take this as the theme and put it across to you in just five sentences each day tailoring it around an alphabet each day - in the sequence A to Z …. That's the way Right.
In the past I took this challenge twice. In 2015 I wrote travelogue - all about Himachal Reflections from Adi - A to Z Challenge and made you travel throughout HP - the hill state of India. In 2016 I took two writings each day - One was my poetic journey Reflections on A to Z 2016 - Let the Soul Pour and the other was Festivals of India Reflections on A to Z 2016 - Festivals of India.

So now, stay with me - and this year enjoy four blogs each day. The first one would be the Learnings of life  - 5 Sentence Fiction.

Others would be my favourite - A poetic journey both in English & Hindi. And there would be a food blog too.....  True Indian Regional Cuisine.
So - Just stay glued.
